Round-Up: Amazing Ontario Summer Day-Camps

A happy PINE Project camper.

Even though spring has just barely sprung, some parents have already been thinking about summer camps for months. For those who are inclined, there are day camps of all sorts happening all over the province this summer, whether your kids are sporty, theatrical or even learning a new language.

Tech-inclined kids will love the day programs at Waterloo’s ID Tech Camp, where they’ll learn to create video games, websites, movies, iPhone and Facebook apps, C++/Java programs, robots, 3D animations and more.

If you want to encourage a respect and love of nature, one of our favourites, The PINE Project, is offering a new series of outdoor adventure nature camps, full of fun, crafts, nature education, team-building and self expression throughout Toronto’s green spaces.

Teens who have an inclination for crafting and/or fashion will feel right at home at the Crafty Couture day camps around the Greater Toronto Area. Campers design jewelry, accessories, re-worked clothing and try their hands at fashion illustration, all of which is showcased in an end-of-camp fashion show.

To find more camps of all types around Ontario (and some in Quebec), visit and check out their directory. And make sure to inquire soon: many of these camps fill up quickly!
