To make this sweet plush toy, all your need is some basic sewing skills and a little imagination. A soft terry cloth towel works well as the centre of the flower (we stitched a happy face on one side to give it some personality), and fabric scraps can be used to create the petals.
Tip: No matter how well a toy is made, babies are very good at pulling things apart, so keep an eye on him while he plays.
Directions:
1. Cut out your flower centre and petal shapes. You can stitch a happy face or anything you’d like on the centre to give the flower a little extra personality.
2. Before sewing the petals to the base, we filled each one with a different material—cotton batting for a soft texture, foil-lined potato chip bags for crinkle sounds and a large squeaker taken from a dollar-store toy.
3. Attach the petals to the base and voila! A DIY toy that’s guaranteed to grab Baby’s attention.
