Cute Craft Idea: Scrapbook Word Art

Gather up some scrapbook paper and picture frames to create cute pieces of art for your home.

3-Innovative-Scrapbook-Projects-shelf-lifeIf you’ve been wondering what to do with all those bits and pieces of unused scrapbook paper, this craft is for you. Follow these directions to create fun name art for any room of your home!

What You’ll Need:

  • Scrapbooking paper and/or wallpaper
  • A selection of photos
  • A selection of frames
  • Craft scissors or Exacto knife
  • Healing mat (or similar cutting surface)
  • Letter templates
  • Glue dots

Directions:

1. Using chipboard monograms as templates (we used chipboard monograms from Basic Grey), trace the letters you’ll need and cut them out of scrapbooking paper (we used a selection of colourful wallpaper ends and paper from the Basic Grey Color Me Silly collection).

2. Secure them to a desired backdrop (we printed out a solid cream-coloured background) using glue dots. TIP: Don’t feel you’re stuck to the size of glue dots: you can trim them and shape them as you require!

3. Frame pictures and words you’ve printed out on additional sheets of coloured paper.

4. Arrange on a shelf, along with any precious toys or objects that round out the display.
