How to Make Unique DIY Bookends

Don't know what to do with your child's old toys? We have the perfect way to transform your kid's outgrown toys into fun, unique bookends that are sure to spruce up any shelf

Breathe new life into favourite toys that your kids have outgrown (or that have seen better days) by upcycling them into cool bookends.

What you’ll need:
• Unfinished wood plaques
• Old toys (think action figures, animals, etc.)
• Spray paint
• Hot glue

Pick up an unfinished wood plaque from your local craft store for the base. Spray-paint the plaque and toy the same colour (they will need two coats). Once dry, use hot glue to attach the toy to the base.

Tip: Be sure to choose a spray paint that’s suitable for a variety of materials, including plastic, metal and wood.
