Are you looking for the perfect focal point for baby’s room, but not wanting to spend a ton of money? Not to worry—it’s easy to create a gorgeous piece yourself for under $60!

We love this inspiring wall decor by Dina over at Honey & Fitz. Her take on string art is as simple as can be—she provides a template for the lettering, and cork rolls make it easy to insert the nails.

What you’ll need:

  • Cork rolls
  • Embroidery floss
  • Linoleum nails
  • Hot glue gun
  • Velcro hanging strips
  • White paint (optional)
  • Mini Styrofoam roller (optional)
  • White duck tape (optional)

For step-by-step instructions, visit the Honey & Fitz site. The bright colours and whimsical lettering in the finished design make it the perfect centrepiece for baby’s nursery. It’s also a great DIY gift for a baby shower! If you’re looking for a simpler take on string art, check out this smaller version of the tutorial that Dina did for Hellobee, where she stringed a single letter on a cork tile. The mini version is still very cute and can be displayed on a shelf in your little one’s room.
