It is that time again, One of a Kind Show time (open until April 5th). You can just smell that irresistible mix of homemade goodies, wood chip shavings, freshly sealed paint and overheated shoppers. Ahh, we love it!
Besides from the fantastic media breakfast prepared by Chef Matthew Foote of the Elora Mill Country Inn and Restaurant that warmed our tummies, we found a ton of super-cute finds that also tickled our fancy. In fact we wish we could have stayed longer (but hey, you want a summer issue dontcha?)
On our mad ‘One of a Kind’ dash, we found a couple of booths that made us stop in our tracks.
Flyball Bags: Handmade bags, clutches, and more from recycled fabrics and materials (even her booth was made out of 95% recycled goods!).
Damned Dollies: These made us chuckle. While they may not be a suitable plaything for your little one, we think they’d make a great bookend or a gift to a friend with a sense of humor. Our favourite is Lydia—gloomy and frazzled, like any good adult dollie.
The Urban Quilt Company: We say bring back the quilt! These beautiful modern quilts don’t look like the ones at grandma’s house and offer a one-of-a-kind alternative to the Ikea duvet covers.
Not bad for a shopping sprint….can’t wait to check out more!
