These Earth Day creations are fun, quirky and completely eco-friendly. Kids will love making their very own Mr. Recycled Head Man, based on this great idea we spotted over at Delia Creates. Apart from being entertained and having a blast with this afternoon craft, they’ll also discover all sorts of creative ways to use recyclables. This craft can get a little tricky—hammering out holes and removing tin labels—so assistance and supervision will be needed from an adult.

What you’ll need:

  • Wheat grass
  • Tin cans
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Sharpie marker
  • Felt material
  • Mr. Poatato Head shoes (optional)
  • Screw driver
  • Hammer

You can use pre-grown wheat grass, or plant a few seeds and wait for Mr. Recycle Head Man’s hair to grow—another experiment all on its own! To get the full instructions on how to make your own Mr. Recycle Head Man, head over to Delia Creates.
