Celebrate the arrival of Hanukkah with this sweet spin on a traditional toy

This year, Hanukkah begins on the evening of December 8th, and we think that this sweet spin on a traditional toy is the perfect treat to mark the occasion.

These cute marshmallow dreidels from Martha Stewart make for a fun and festive snack.

For the kosher take on this treat, look for kosher marshmallows, such as those made by Sacharen Bros (from Montreal). You can also check stores that sell vegan foods such as Panacea in Toronto (vegan marshmallows should also qualify as kosher, because it’s the gelatin that is the problem). You can also check your local Kosher grocery store. Kosher brands available internationally include Liebers, Paskez, Dandies and Sweet and Sara.

What you’ll need:
  • marshmallows
  • scissors
  • nonstick kitchen spray
  • bowl
  • nonpareils
  • wooden skewers
