Before the party day, design a couple of different robot heads for the kids to choose from. You can make these from boxes covered in silver paint and odds and ends. (A trip to the dollar store will load you up with all the shiny silver doodads you need.) - <h1>Tin Can Crafts</h1><br /> <br/><br /> <p>Create a build-a-bot station. Prepare tin cans before the big day: use a clean-edge can opener and place silver duct tape around the raw edge. When it’s time to build, have kids choose their can. For younger kids: Place all of the possible materials in the middle of the table as inspiration, and ask the children to draw how they want their robot to look. As they finish, they can visit the hot glue station so an adult can bring their creation to life.
