The Toronto International Film Festival unveils its Bell Lightbox at the corner of King and John on September 12th. The venue will showcase past and present Canadian filmmakers as well as international and Canadian films that will be accessible to the public. Kids and parents alike can enjoy the many historic movies that will be played at the venue. And later this fall, the Lightbox will feature a bistro, bar and shop.

To celebrate the unveiling, TIFF is hosting a block party. There will also be musical guests Karkwa, Radio Radio and The Sadies, all who are nominated for this year’s Polaris Music Prize. The event runs from 11am–4pm and will kick off with the family fun zone, with a family screening of Wizard the Oz. Plus at 3pm, CBC’s George Stroumboulopoulos will introduce a surprise musical performance by one of Canada’s finest.

Can’t make it to Toronto? Then check out your local theatre all across Canada for movies for the entire family, including Toy Story 3 and Despicable Me.
