Located just an hour’s flight southeast of Miami, Turks and Caicos is a sun-kissed stretch of islands and cays best known for its picture-perfect turquoise waters and powder white beaches. More than 200,000 tourists visit annually and, while there’s no shortage of accommodations available, the all-inclusive and family-oriented Beaches Resort is arguably one of the best.
The resort is currently one of three in the upscale chain owned by Sandals (there are two in Jamaica and another two resorts, in Barbados and Antigua, are opening in the near future). Located in Grace Bay in Providenciales, Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort is spread across 75 acres of beautifully-maintained grounds including more than 19 kilometres of spectacular beaches. There are 758 rooms and suites and accommodations are divided into four distinct areas: the tropical seaside Caribbean Village, the chic and stylish French Village, the richly adorned Italian Village and Key West, the newest Village, which offers a laidback vibe and features luxurious three and four bedroom villas.
While prices vary dramatically depending on the village (Caribbean and French offer the least expensive accommodations) as well as the category of service you choose (luxury, concierge or butler), beyond that guests are all offered the same impressive experiences, including access to 19 restaurants, a 45,000 square-foot waterpark, 10 pools (three with swim-up bars), supervised kids’ camps, snorkeling and more.
