We had 3 families review the Philips Air Purifier Series 2000i and here’s what they had to say.

Jennifer from Bowmanville, Ontario

This Ontario mother-son duo suffers from extreme allergies and loved testing out the Philips Air Purifier.

It’s 30 degrees outside, the sun is shining brightly and unfortunately, the pollen in the air is so thick that you have your windows done up tightly. I would love to have a natural breeze blowing through our house but our allergies don’t allow it. This year, we were introduced to the Philips Air Purifier 2000i as a solution to our indoor allergens.

The set up was quick! Barely audible, this purifier runs as a dull fan sound in the background. I love that it continuously monitors the air and automatically adjusts the fan speed when it detects changes in particle levels. The app was super easy to install on my phone. I simply downloaded the Air Matters app on my iPhone and it was good to go.

The colour ring and number gives us a clear indication of the air quality. Most days, the ring stays a beautiful blue colour, which means air quantity is good. Since its arrival, my son and I have noticed fewer allergy symptoms and improvement overall in our breathing too!If you are looking for a way to improve the air quality in your home, I highly recommend the Philips Air Purifier 2000i.

Nicole from Calgary, Alberta

This Mom of three—all 5 and under—was worried about allergies crowding her house.

We loved the real-time measure of air quality – this let us know what was impacting our air quality so that we could make changes. I change our sheets once a week – that activity alone set off so many particles in the air, that the sensors went sky high, to the same degree when I burn something while cooking. We have a clean house and my nose couldn’t detect any dust whatsoever, so I would’ve had no idea this was an issue. We often run the purifier in my daughter’s room now whenever she has allergy symptoms. My kids also loved this feature shouting, “we have good air!” whenever the lights went blue again.

When my kids are sick, I put it to the bacteria/virus mode and it makes me feel like I am helping in a situation when I am ordinarily helpless. This purifier is so quiet and is soothing for my kids at night.

It works, plain and simple. I can tell this because when I detect smoke from a fire pit outside, the machine reacts instantly. When I close the window, it can quickly clean the air. When there is smoke/strong odours from cooking, the air is cleared much more efficiently. Finally, I can use it to check the air quality in my kids’ rooms for my own piece of mind.

Deb from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Deb from Saskatoon was also quite impressed with how the Philips Air Purifier worked.

I have had this purifier running for over two weeks now. Several features my husband and I immediately noticed when taking it out of the box was how sleek and modern it was , we really liked this feature. It fits in so well with the white, modern minimalistic furniture we have in our kitchen/living room. It has rounded edges so there are no corners to run into like old machines. It can sit out in the open and is not bothersome to the eye. it is light-weight for its size. I can pick it up and take it to any room without struggle whatsoever  it had a bright yellow sticker on the wrap around the unit which basically said “do this first”. You can’t miss it. It is how to put the filters in. Follow what it says, and it is set up in no time. So easy to put in the filters. The manual is clear and informative. The only downside I have to the manual which I found seriously needs improvement is the inside cover which has quick reference pictures – they are too small.

When the machine kicks in, ie the first several times our air conditioner turned on, (the vent is near the purifier) it shot up to a “9” and quickly brought the air quality back to a 1 – at first I couldn’t figure out what was causing it to jump so high all of a sudden – when I figured it out and know that we have to get the furnace vents cleaned out
