Has your family put up the Christmas tree yet? Whether you choose a real tree or an artificial one, a big one or a small one, hanging decorations while you bop along to some Christmas classics is just plain fun. And when you’re all done trimming your tree, you can kick back with a mug of hot chocolate and some yummy Christmas Tree Brownies.
We spotted this idea over on the Betty Crocker website and couldn’t imagine a more fitting treat for such an occasion. You can pre-decorate your brownies, or cut them up and let kids do the decorating as they like.
What you’ll need:
• Brownies (your favourite recipe or from the box)
• White frosting (homemade or canned)
• Green food colouring
• Mini M&Ms
• Thick pretzel sticks
You’ll find the full recipe and baking instructions for these Christmas Tree Brownies over at the Betty Crocker website. We think candy canes would work just as nicely for the tree’s trunk, and you could even use coloured icing and some sprinkles to create a fun garland. Use your imagination!
