Hot chocolate is the perfect post-skating bevvy. Go gourmet in a flash with this decadent (but easy!) Caramel Swirl Hot Chocolate recipe.
Directions:
Measure out 4 cups milk. In a medium-sized saucepan, whisk together 4 tablespoons each cocoa powder and brown sugar with 2 splashes of the measured milk until it forms a smooth paste. Whisk in remaining milk and place saucepan over medium heat. Continue to whisk, warming milk until cocoa and sugar have completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Increase heat to high to simmer for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a warmed thermal container. Pack 1 cup whipped cream and prepared caramel syrup for topping just before serving (if you’re taking your hot chocolate to go). Makes 4 cups.
