It can be difficult to introduce new foods to your kids, especially when they are picky eaters. Luckily, there are some creative mamas out there who like to show us how to present the unfamiliar to your little ones in a fun way.

We love this falafel sandwich from Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons, which packages the Middle Eastern patties in a cool flying saucer, complete with aliens!

This silly sandwich is way more exciting to look at than a plain ol’ bun, which means that kids will be more likely to actually eat it. The tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber give it a pop of colour, and the smiling aliens make it totally child-friendly.

What you’ll need:
• Falafel
• Pita bread
• Feta cheese
• Cucumbers
• Tomatoes
• Hummus
• Greek dressing
• Lettuce

Find the full instructions over at Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons. It’s pretty simple to arrange, and the aliens come together easily with toothpicks. It’s a sure-fire way to get the kids excited for dinnertime and trying new foods.
