-
Recipe 3: Dried Apricot Puree

For babies 6-9 months

Buy organic brown and unsulphured dried apricots—they’re brown because they don’t contain sulphites, which can trigger asthma and gas (bright orange apricots contain sulphites). Dried apricots have a laxative effect, so they’re great for treating constipation. This purée is very sweet.

Get the recipe: Dried Apricot Puree

-
Recipe 7: Immune-Boosting Puree

For babies 9-12 months

This dish is incredibly popular. Vitamin C in the apples and turnip or rutabaga helps the absorption of iron from the raisins, and garlic is an incredible immune booster. A parent told me that she served this with Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it!

Get the recipe: Immune-Boosting Puree

-
Fruity Curry Buckwheat

For babies 10 months+

Don’t let the curry put you off from making this for your baby—it’s deliciously sweet, and babies love it! Containing buckwheat, this gluten-free purée is easy to digest and is a very good source of protein, B vitamins, iron and calcium. Use buckwheat groats, not toasted buckwheat or kasha.

Get the recipe: Fruit Curry Buckwheat
