As if parents didn’t have enough to worry about, it turns out that some children’s Halloween face paint contains lead and all kinds of nasty stuff.
Health Canada currently hasn’t issued any recalls on Halloween face makeup, but the FDA has, so if anyone out there has been tempted by the fact that the dollar is so close to par, and have purchased Halloween supplies over the border, make sure you check their recalls.
We found some fantastic tips at The Daily Green on ways to make sure your child’s face paint is used safely. For example: do a test patch to ensure your child doesn’t have an allergic reaction; don’t use make up near the eyes and make sure you wash off any makeup before bed time.
