How to Get Out the Door In Less Than 5 Minutes (And Look Great!)

Is a five minute makeup routine really possible? It is, with a few tips and tricks.

Mornings are busy, especially with homework assignments are in need of being packed, notes are required, permission slips are needing to be signed and things are generally chaotic between 7am and 9am. But we can’t exactly drop the kids off at school and head to a spa before work, so we need a few tricks up our sleeves for that morning rush.

Loida Adam, beautyBOUTIQUE Manager at Shopper’s Drug Mart in Bayview Village came to our rescue with a 5 minute morning makeup routine.

Start with a great BB cream, like Smashbox BB water. This product is a light-weight formula and can be applied very sheer, but can be layered for a little more coverage.

Creme products are excellent—especially if you’re short on time. The Clinique Chubby sticks for eyes are excellent, take your finger and apply the colour across your lid up to the crease of your eye. A great colour to choose is Bountiful Beige – it’s a great neutral. Also, it will help to get rid of any redness on the lids. Finish off your eyes with GOSH Xtreme mascara for full, lush lashes.

Look alive with the Lise Watier Blush Fondant supreme in Naturel. The best way to apply creme blush is to smile, then use your finger to apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks, stroking upwards towards your ears.

Finish off with a great bold lip colour. I love the Lancome Rouge in Love Lipsticks. So moisturizing and feather light feel. A gorgeous bold colour to try is 277N Violine Lamee.
