We’ve been noticing a lot of buzz amongst the online mommy set lately about Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred DVD, so we decided to do a little investigating to see what it’s all about.
For those of you thinking, “30 Day what now?” here’s a quick rundown: the DVD is an intense bootcamp featuring fitness expert Jillian Michaels, a trainer on the television show The Biggest Loser. It features three 20-minute workouts at three increasing intensity levels. Your goal is to spend 10 days at each level, until you reach Day 30 (at which point you should do some serious celebrating, because from what we’ve read, this workout ain’t easy).
We can see why this DVD is a hit with busy moms. After all, when you’re pressed for time and desperate to get some results, 20 minutes in your own living room with minimal equipment (i.e. some light weights and a mat) is a lot easier to deal with than an hour at the gym. And with our current economic situation, a single DVD that really delivers is a great choice for budget-minded mamas.
