Banana Protein ‘Ice Cream’

A dairy-free alternative for those Ice Cream lovers who can't have milk.

You won’t believe it’s not ice cream! A must-try recipe to satisfy a sweet tooth that is totally dairy free. The recipe is vegan, raw, sugar free, paleo, and gluten-free.
Prep Time
5 minutes
  • 2 bananas frozen in slices
  • 1 heaped tablespoon vanilla plant-based protein powder, or your choice of flavour
  • Optional: 5-6 raw cashews (preferably soaked in water for a few hours and drained)
  1. Blend in a food processor (note: use a food processer over a blender for a more ‘ice cream’ like texture).

  2. If you wish, you may add a splash of non-dairy milk to help the food processor along; alternatively you can wait a few minutes for the bananas to soften to make blending easier. However, the less liquid you add the more of an ice cream-like texture you achieve.

  3. Optional: Garnish with crumbled pecans.
