Chili Jam Beef Stir-Fry

Try this sweet and spicy dish over rice or noodles.

Ingredients
  • 6 long mild, red chilies, seeds removed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons shrimp paste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 650 grams of beef strips
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 7 ounces green beans, trimmed
Directions
  1. In a food processor process first 6 ingredients until finely chopped.

  2. Heat a large non-stick skillet over high heat and add chili mixture. Cook, stirring, for 5-7 minutes or until mixture thickens. Add beef to pan and cook for 3 minutes.

  3. Add green onions and beans, cover and cook for 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
