Classic Broccoli and Bacon Salad

This is a classic broccoli salad recipe that comes together quickly and is always a crowd-pleaser.

The thing that takes this salad over the top is the bacon. It will make you want to actually eat broccoli (and enjoy it), promise!
Variation: Try grape tomatoes, dried cranberries, or strawberries instead of red grapes.

  • 5 cups bite-size broccoli florets
  • 5 bacon slices, cooked crisp, cooled, and crumbled
  • ½ cup sliced almonds or cashews, or ¼ cup hulled sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup red grapes, quartered
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 to 2 ½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper
  1. Combine the broccoli, bacon, nuts, grapes, and onion in a large bowl. Set aside.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar. Pour the dressing evenly over the broccoli mixture and stir until coated. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Refrigerate the salad for at least 15 minutes before serving. This salad is best served the first day.
