Combine the broccoli, bacon, nuts, grapes, and onion in a large bowl. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar. Pour the dressing evenly over the broccoli mixture and stir until coated. Season with salt and pepper.
Refrigerate the salad for at least 15 minutes before serving. This salad is best served the first day.
