Indian Butter Chicken

Look for mild curry paste at the grocery store to keep things cool for any tender tongues. Most children love the creaminess of butter chicken and paired with steamed Jasmine rice and roasted vegetables, it makes for an easy meal. If you want to add a special touch, fry up some pappadums to dip in the butter chicken sauce.

"I loved this recipe. The smells throughout the cooking process were amazing, and the chicken was very flavourful. Brooklin liked watching it cook through the day and said “me love it!'." Shannon Vogt, mom of Brooklin, 3, Rimbey, Alta.

How large a slow cooker was used? This would affect whether or not the sauce actually could cover the chicken.

    Thanks,

Can you freeze this slow cooker recipe?

If I cool it on low for 8 or more hours would it work as well?

This tasted nothing like authentic butter chicken. It was a nice chicken dish, but please don’t expect it to taste remotely like Indian food!

    love that it’s mild, thanks!

This isn’t even close to real butter chicken, it’s missing a bunch of spices. I bet it’s tasty but wont be nowhere as good as the ‘real’ butter chicken with the proper spices.
