A moist brownie-like cake made with leftover Halloween mini chocolate bars. That sentence is our favourite sentence ever written.
Can be adjusted to make as little or as many servings as needed.
Prep Time
5 minutes
Cook Time
1-2 minutes
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 mini chocolate bar, such as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Oh Henry, Wunderbar, Caramilk, etc., chopped
  1. In a heatproof mug or ramekin, stir together the dry ingredients until no lumps remain.

  2. Stir in the oil and milk until you have a thick paste. Stir in the chopped chocolate bar(s).

  3. Microwave on high for a minute, checking it after 30 seconds (microwaves vary)—it will be done when it’s springy on top but still a bit gooey, like a brownie.

  4. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

  5. Or just eat it out of the mug in the kitchen without sharing.
