Place oven rack at centre position; preheat oven to 425ºF.
Place crushed tortilla chips in a wide, shallow bowl. Brush topside of tilapia with ranch dressing; press dressing-brushed side into crushed chips.
Place fish on a baking sheet and bake in oven 8–10 minutes. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
