A Perfect Smoothie Bowl to Pair with Your Coffee

Many of us skip breakfast and jump straight to a cup of coffee. It’s true when they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides you with plenty of energy and it also kick-starts your body’s metabolism.

Breakfast doesn’t have to be a laborious undertaking. If you’re looking for the perfect breakfast and coffee pairing, try your hand at this easy to follow recipe for a beautiful and nutrition packed breakfast smoothie bowl paired with Nespresso’s limited edition release of SELECTION VINTAGE 2014, an Arabica coffee that was harvested three years ago. I guarantee this will satisfy your morning food and coffee cravings!
Prep Time
10 minutes
  • 1 cup low-fat greek yogurt (in your favourite flavour)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen fruits
  • 1 banana
  • Handful fresh berries of your choice
  • Sprinkle of granola, hemp seeds, and/or coconut chips
  • Two squares of dark chocolate (optional!)
  1. To prepare the smoothie bowl mix, blend together ingredients and empty into a bowl. Assemble the smoothie bowl placing the garnish items on top.

  2. There are so many variations of smoothie bases, if you prepare non-diary, you can substitute the yogurt and milk with an avocado or banana combined with a fruit juice.

  3. The natural sweetness from the ingredients of the smoothie bowl is so wonderful when enjoyed with a black cup of Nespresso VINTAGE selection that exudes notes of woodiness and fruitiness combined with a velvety texture.
