We recommend serving the burgers with grilled Greek potato wedges, topped with feta and lemon or a pickled cucumber salad. Tip: tzatziki can be found in most grocery stores, but is very easy to make. Mix together plain Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, grated cucumber, lemon juice and salt.

Cook Time
8 minutes
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup Plain Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Fresh Mint, Minced
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Grainy Mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Red Onion, Minced
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Dried Oregano
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) Salt
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) Pepper
  • 1 lb Extra Lean Ground Pork
  • 4 Burger Buns
  • Toppings
  • Tzatziki
  • Green Leaf Lettuce
  • Sliced Red Onion
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Feta Cheese, Grated or Crumbled
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together egg, breadcrumbs, mint, honey, mustard, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Add ground pork, and mix until well combined. Shape into four (4) burger patties and place in the fridge for 20 minutes to allow the patties to firm up.

  2. Preheat the BBQ to medium-high heat (400° to 500°F/200° to 260°C).

  3. Grill the patties over direct heat, with the lid closed, for 2-4 minutes per side.

  4. Place each burger on a bun, and top with tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, red onion and feta cheese. Serve immediately.
