To create a stunning visual effect, as well as a nifty holder for the cob, pull the outer husks of each cob back, leaving them attached, and tie with butcher's twine. Then, cut off thepointed end of each cob.
Using a tall pot, lay in a steamer basket and fill with 3 inches of water.
Bring water to a boil.
Stand cobs in pot, cut-end down.
Cover with aluminum foil and steam for 8 minutes.
Serve hot with Herb Butter*, salt and pepper.
