What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is simple: Happy children will learn! Children who feel safe and loved each day will develop into confident people. They will take risks, and develop trust in others. I know that I create an environment where my students feel adored and therefore challenge themselves. They know their voice matters and that they are loved and important.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned from your students?
I have learned not to take myself too seriously. I have learned that there is always a tomorrow and that what we do not cover today, can wait. I have learned to make each moment count, and to stop and enjoy the moment. I have learned that teaching is about developing inquiry and experiencing life together. Asking questions, and accepting a variety of ideas, interpretations, and respect!
