On Wednesday we were fortunate enough to view the Sixth Annual White Cashmere Collection 2009: Fashion with Compassion, and the outfits just keep getting better and better every year.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the event, it is in honor of Cashmere’s limited edition pink toilet paper, of which 25 cents from the sales of each package goes directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
The show’s line up this year included household designers like Evan and Dean and Greta Constantine and also included Project Runway winner Sunny Fong and alum Carlie Wong. We were blown away by some of the detail (think two-toned toilet paper rosette covered-cake) and the fashion forward design (big shoulders, check, futuristic design, check, ’80s inspired silhouettes, check check).
But with any fashion event there are always some hits and some misses (you can view all of the outfits here). Our favs? Carlie Wong’s deep-V mini dress and an architectural jacket by Greta Constantine. But we are sad to report that one of least favourites was cutie-patootie Sunny Fong, whose dress seemed a bit less extravagant and a bit less polished than the rest of the designers.
