Between sports activities, daycamps and daytrips, summer can be an expensive season for parents.
But we’re here to help. Here are three great freebies you can score this weekend and next across Canada.
Beat the heat with a Slurpee
Sunday, July 11 is 7-11 Day in Canada and to celebrate, they are giving way free 7.11 oz Slurpees. Each participating store will be giving away 1,000 while quantities last, and you know they’ll go fast. Click here for more info.
Kids golf free
Have the next PGA or LPGA star on your hands? This is Take a Kid To a Course Week. From July 5 to 11, hundreds of golf courses across the country will offer free golf to a child under 16 who is accompanied by a paying adult (you would have gone with them anyways). Click here for more info.
Spend a day at a national park
Next Saturday (July 17) is Parks Day. In addition to free admission (family passes usually cost $20) to all the national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas, there will also be a variety of activities for families to enjoy. Click here for a list of parks in your area and to find that perfect spot for a picnic.
