We’ve always loved The Children’s Place for it’s great quality (our senior editor, Robin, swears by their tights and underwear!) but there’s no doubt that they’ve been a bit slow on the fashion train. But with a new CEO in place and an overhaul on their previously at-times-too-traditional and at-other-times-too-busy style, the spring collection (in stores now) has us hoping for sunnier days. Among our favourites are utility jackets for her, snazzy vests for him, plus cargo skinnies, rose applique tees and newsboy caps. But what really caught our eye was one of their Easter dresses. Yes, they’re still doing those crinoline-laced little numbers, but the patterns and palette are getting better. We snapped this pic of a sweet dress that is a near match to a dress that went down the runway with Oscar de la Renta’s spring line. How’s that for getting on trend!
